“Little Boy” DVD Giveaway!
What’s your favorite era in history?
For me, it’s the 1920s to the 1940s. I’m fascinated by real-life tales of the Great Depression and of World War II, as well as the fictional stories they inspire. During our homeschool lessons, my girls and I have been riveted as we’ve read biographies of Corrie Ten Boom and Eric Liddell, and novels including Lois Lowry’s Number the Stars. On my own, I’ve read and reread Bodie and Brock Thoene’s Zion Covenant series.
But what I love even more than books on this era, are the movies. This is one reason I was drawn to the film, Little Boy.
Set in a 1940’s small seaside town in California, Little Boy is the story of – yep, you guessed it – a little boy who’s willing to do whatever it takes to see his dad return safely from World War II. And, perhaps even more importantly, it’s the story of coming to realize the inherent worth and uniqueness of every person.
